Boris Johnson: I Fought The Law (and the Law Won)

The issuing of fines to Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak for breaking lockdown laws, they themselves promoted, due to parties at Downing St, reminds of that the Tory Party is the Party of ‘law and order’ that firmly also believes that there should be ‘No, No Go Areas for Law and Order).

Perhaps the Party of Law and Order is now that of former DPP Keir Starmer…

One doubts Johnson will resign. His career history suggests that he doesn’t resign but has to be sacked. The exception was when he resigned as Theresa May’s Foreign Secretary both because it involved actual work, but also because it suited his own political agenda. Sacking him will require action by Tory MPs…

In the meantime there are things that can be done. All those who obeyed lockdown laws and personally suffered as a result (and there were many very difficult stories) will no doubt take note. Practically all fines raised under the legislation should be cancelled and paid back and cases still in progress stopped.

There cant be one law for them and one for us or there is no law and order.
