Times Tory members focus group finds Truss eats a more frugal lunch than Sunak
The Sunday Times managed to gather together some Tory members in Surrey (aged 30-60 they claim) and ask them (amongst other things) what they thought the lunch choices of the leadership contenders were.
Most had Truss as a Tesco meal deal person (sandwich, drink etc). Sunak was thought to be more upmarket and eat slightly doubtful perhaps not really British food such as sushi. The problem is that sushi doesn’t cost anymore in Tesco than the meal deal. Presumably the Tory members servants who visit the shops for them haven’t let on.
