Why has Jeremy Paxman never worn a beard on University Challenge
The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has said that it is disappointed that Jeremy Paxman has not started the final series of University Challenge that he will present with his trademark beard.
Paxman caused a furore in 2013 when he presented Newsnight with a beard. He eventually gave into pressure and shaved it off. In more recent times Paxman has been pictured wearing a beard quite frequently. This may well be his personal choice but it is a matter of regret that Paxman refuses to wear a beard while presenting University Challenge, it would clearly add gravitas.
BLF Organiser at least the next University Challenge presenter Amol Rajan has a beard, or at least he does at the moment.
Such a pity, as Paxo looks good sporting a beard (not true for every man!!)
