The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has said that veteran comedian John Cleese has been suspended after he announced he would be presenting a programme on the hard-right GB News TV station in the New Year.
The BLF does not formally engage with GB News although it has not officially listed it as pogonophobic.
BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, John Cleese could be a great positive ambassador for the hirsute but in taking a GB News role we are concerned that he will end up bringing the hirsute into disrepute
