Campaigners welcome Stephen Flynn, only Westminster Party Leader with a Beard
The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has welcomed Stephen Flynn as the new leader of the SNP at Westminster.
The campaigners say that while Flynn’s beard is a work in progress it still marks him out as the only hirsute Party leader in Parliament.
BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, we don’t expect Rishi Sunak or Keir Starmer to be wearing a beard anytime soon so while Stephen Flynn is unlikely to compete for Parliamentary Beard of the Year, he still represents progress in beard history
