Poll finds Braverman favourite Nov.5th Bonfire effigy(not hate but a political tradition)

In Uncategorized on November 5, 2023 by kmflett

An on-line poll has found that Home Secretary is the favourite effigy to stand on top of November 5th bonfires.

The poll which had 2.7K hits on-line saw Braverman get 57% of the votes with Boris Johnson second on 32.7%. Matt Hancock and Dominic Cummings were also rans.

Historically the burning of Guy Fawkes effigies on 5th November was a symbol of anti-Catholic bigotry. This hardly exists in 2023 and the tradition of effigies has long since been focused on politicians. Donald Trump and Boris Johnson have been recent favourites.

Suella Braverman’s victory is not unexpected but it is surprising that she hasnt banned the burning of her effigy
