Charles, the death of the Queen & mushrooms

In Uncategorized on January 13, 2024 by kmflett

I new book the death of Queen Elizabeth 11 at Balmoral in September 2022 has revealed that as his mother lay on her death bed, Charles had popped out to clear his head and forage for mushrooms.

The now King Charles has a reputation for idiosyncratic behaviour, particularly with fountain pens. However research indicates he is a mushroom obsessive, foraging for them near Balmoral. and well aware of the different varieties.

Once collected they are cooked and frozen and can be used for up to a year specifically in one of Charlie’s favourite dishes, risotto.

Asked for the thing he most associated with Charles Tony Blair is reported to have replied mushrooms.

Its unclear however whether the King is keen on the Liberty Cap the collection of which has been illegal since 2005
