The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has said that the appointment of hard right loudmouth Jonathan Gullis as a Deputy Chair of the Tory Party will bring the hirsute into disrepute.
Gullis has perhaps the highest profile of any beard wearer in the Commons but has been repeatedly barred from a range of BLF polls due to boorish behaviour and bigoted comments.
BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, Jonathan Gullis represents the worse possible image of beard wearers. We can at least answer the traditional jibe about what he is hiding behind his beard by noting ‘absolutely nothing’
