The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has called on Keir Starmer to show Labour has really changed and appoint a Minister with responsibility for hair and facial hair.
The Prime Minister is a regular visitor to the barbers and maintains an image enhancing hair style. However unlike his late father he has never been known to wear a beard.
The campaigners say that the Minister would be charged with ensuring that people can dress and appear as they want without Victorian style restrictions. There would also be a requirement to regulate the activities of barbers.
BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, The PM is very image conscious and in his changed Britain he needs to make sure that the matter is regulated and promoted at Ministerial level.
