Tony Blair has been making another of his rare but frequent public interventions (Sunday Times 7th July). Mainly he is raising again one of his favourite nostrums of digital ID cards. Even he admits that this can be controversial and therefore warrants discussion.
He does however touch on other issues.
He warns the new Government to ‘avoid any vulnerability of wokeism’. As he doesnt say what he thinks this it could be difficult.
He also suggests that the ‘Muslim challenge’ ‘is a topic requiring its own special analysis’
We await further interventions
