The Guardian has announced that it has archived its Twitter accounts due to recent events. The statement did not suggest that it currently planned to appear on other social media referring people instead to guardian.com or the App (yes, I’ve got the App). However at the weekend it appeared on Blue Sky
Its a sign of the times, although one might think Blue Sky is a home for the Guardian. It is less shouty and aggressive than Twitter has become under Musk.
An obvious way forward beyond social media is a resurgence of letters to the Editor. I’ve never stopped of course..
