The last issue of the Observer published by the Guardian, the Scott Trust, was on 20th April. Above is the first issue of the paper now owned by Tortoise (the Guardian retains a stake).
To be fair it is a very powerful and striking image for the front page and just as in the Victorian era, the picture or image was as powerful as words, social media in 2025 has seen the return of the power of the image.
