The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has responded to a Guardian letter (11th July 2025) from veteran BLF supporter Toby Wood. He draws attention to the statement in an earlier article on beards by Polly Hudson that all men look better with beards.
The campaigners say that Ms Hudson’s beard allyship is appreciated and while it is true that many men do look better with beards there are exceptions.
Examples include Richard Branson, Noel Edmonds, Lord Sugar and in particular Boris Johnson all of whom regularly bring the hirsute into disrepute
