Its rather appropriate that a letter writer to the Times (31st Dec) calls out Tory Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp for his use of the word ‘scumbag’ to describe Abd el-Fattah.
It may be a term for the pub The Farage & Grift Arms perhaps but use by Philp underlines how far the Tories are lurching to the right
