Farage confesses to being a computer illiterate oddball

In Uncategorized on January 21, 2026 by kmflett

Nigel Farage has apologised, not yet for his alleged racist and anti-Semitic remarks made while he was a student at Dulwich College, but because he failed to submit £380,000 of earnings to the Parliamentary authorities on the agreed timescales.

Errors happen and Farage isn’t the first. However what it tells us about Farage and Reform is interesting and far removed from the BS that can be found in many media outlets.

The £380,000 is a reminder that man of the people Farage is the highest earning MP and that he has lots of jobs of which his elected and publicly funded job as an MP is essentially a springboard for the rest.

Secondly it underlines stories that Reform are professionalising are also wide of the mark. Farage blamed his staff for the errors but did at least take ownership of the issue with the apology.

Thirdly and perhaps most interestingly Farage says he is computer illiterate. So all the social media across a number of platforms may feature Farage but they are not done by Farage. Of course political leaders cant spend all day on social media but this suggests a fundamental gap between Farage and the public persona known as Farage.
