Open Class War between the Archers & the Grundys
It is has been brewing for a while but this week open class warfare has broken out between the Archers and the Grundys.
After six weeks of teasers and guesswork via BBC reports from Ambridge George has confronted Brian Aldridge and he has ‘confessed’ that he was the person who bottled him at New Year. Well, not exactly. Brian, who is 80ish and has health problems was in attendance & called the ambulance. He was covering for another member of the Archers Dynasty with Ruairi being in the frame. Ruairi it may be recalled has a virulent dislike of George based without question on naked class hatred.
It’s a which side are you on question, and the Ambridge Socialist notes that there are some on the Academic Archers site who have been dissing George. He has however served time in jail, got himself a job with Esme, who does not buy into the Archers class war feud, and is receiving counselling for his anger issues.
Valentines
Meanwhile Rooth and Daveed had a Valentine’s weekend dinner at The Bull and reminisced about the good old days. It is indeed 75 years of the Archers and the current edition of the Radio Times has special features…
Inheritance
Rooth and David have also returned to the issue of inheritance. The Ambridge Socialist has long held the position that Brookfield should be expropriated and run as a workers co-op
