The Beard Liberation Front, the informal network of beard wearers, has said that US Vice President JD Vance has been excluded from the Beard of Summer shortlist as once again he is bringing the hirsute into disrepute.

The campaigners admit that Vance, one of the most prominent beard wearers in the world, remains a problem for those, like the BLF, who seek to promote a positive public image of the hirsute.

Vance has made unwarranted comments on two tier policing in the UK underlining his culture war politics

BLF Organiser Keith Flett said, this is not the first time we have had to exclude JD Vance from a shortlist and it may well not be the last either. His ability to damage the interests of the hirsute seems unabated.
