The Ambridge Socialist
14th June
So, Farewell then Prof Jim
After 20 years Jim Lloyd is leaving the Archers. The most well know atheist in Ambridge and certainly the only classicist. A full tribute featuring Jazzer and Alastair can be found in this week’s Archers’ podcast The Archers Podcast – 88. Jim Lloyd and a journey into the archives – BBC Sounds

Pip’s Genomic Test and Kirsty’s 12 week check
Pip has gone private with the genomic test but then decided not to actually take it until after the wedding with Stella, date uncertain. Meanwhile Jakob has accompanied Kirsty to her 12 week scan and check for her pregnancy, with the expected rather awkward impacts from Jakob. Outside of Ambridge (The Archers Podcast) Jacob and Erik are apparently great friends so who knows where this is going…
At the cricket
The Archers expedition to the T20 England v Sri Lanka at Edgbaston seems to have gone well as did the game for England
