A death in Ambridge
It is probably not the first case but Carol was eventually bored to death by Alan the Vicar reading her some, what he claimed, were appropriate prayers. In any event Carol has been written out after a six month sojourn. We must reflect that David Archer has never thought of prayers as a way of despatching his various victims.
Team Harrison?
The Ambridge Socialist monitors the Archers chat boards and has noted a significant lobby for Team Harrison.
Harrison a born again Christian (tho he seems to have forgotten) a police officer who beat up George Grundy and someone who fervently believes in having children although he wont of course be the person to deliver them. He does not have the support of the Ambridge Socialist. At the same time Fallon is not being helped by Jolene and in particular Kenton.
Lily tells Kenton where to get off
Lily has told Kenton that her liaison with Harrison, such as it is, is none of his business and she is right. Kenton often gets lost in the moral maze.
Esme and class politics
Esme has inferred that Eddie Grundy is a ‘liar’. Indeed generations of farmers and tenant farmers have had the same opinion because of their class politics. We can accept that Esme is struggling to keep the farm afloat but dissing Eddie and being rude to Lynda and Robert cannot be excused
The Repair Shop
The Archers promotion of the BBC TV series continues. Repairing things doesn’t make great radio which is why it’s on TV.
