
As usual the caveat is that local election results with limited turnouts don’t give us a great picture of the political landscape. However they do represent actual votes, rather than an opinion poll.
Below are two results for elections held for Northumberland Council on 1st October 2026.
Many things can be said but reverses for Reform are welcome and underline a view that at the moment their support has peaked. In both cases they lost votes to the fascist Restore.
Hirst (Northumberland) Council By-Election Result:
🌹 LAB: 50.1% (+7.0)
➡️ RFM: 30.0% (-20.0)
◼️ RES: 10.3% (New)
🌳 CON: 4.1% (-2.8)
🔶 LDM: 3.9% (New)
🙋 Ind: 1.6% (New)
Turnout 21%
Labour GAIN from Reform UK.
Changes w/ 2025.
Amble (Northumberland) Council By-Election Result: 🌹 LAB: 38.8% (+0.4) ➡️ RFM: 33.5% (-10.9) 🌳 CON: 21.0% (+3.8) ◼️ RES: 6.7% (New) Labour GAIN from Reform UK. Changes w/ 2025. Turnout 37%
