Chris Mason reports for the BBC from the Tory Conference. He does manage to report on Kemi Badenoch’s speech before heading to discuss the key issue, the differences between the Tories and Reform and whether the former can out poll the latter. As he concludes ‘Let’s see’
They crave catching and overtaking Reform in the polls, in the hope that after that there is a tipping point allowing them to credibly claim they are the most viable alternative to a Labour or Labour-led future government. Let’s see.
