It is a tribute to the impact that Alan Thornett made that he annoyed the bosses enough to warrant an obituary in The Times.
The Times is no friend of trade unionism or indeed of climate change politics although curiously the obituary seems quite impressed by Thornett’s later work in this area.
Whether the obituary is correct about the numerous groups Thornett was in I’ll leave to others…
