Pip & Stella get married
Long heralded Pip and Stella got married last weekend with a reception at Lower Loxley. It should have been a day to celebrate. Instead events were allowed to intervene.
Another Great Storm of Ambridge
Having failed to mention the weather all summer, suddenly the Great Storm of Ambridge appeared again. Given it’s late October however it was actually a reasonable development. No one was killed this time but unfortunately a tree fell on Vince and the prognosis seems uncertain but walking may be an issue.
Angst at Lower Loxley
Another result of the Great Storm was a chimney stack at Lower Loxley crashing through the roof of the Orangery. Fortunately no onr was hurt. However Elizabeth has taken it has a portent that everything is doomed. Time we tell.
Cats
Yet another result of the Great Storm was that Joy’s cat went missing. It was found sitting on a nearby roof. Sgt Knacker Burns had to climb a ladder to rescue the cat proving that he is not in fact entirely useless.
Finally
The storm brought down many apples in the community orchard and Eddie had to get Keira to help collect them. It should be a vintage year for Tumble Tussocks
In other news
Josh made a reappearance. Things can only get better.
The Archers Podcast (BBC Sounds) reminds that car crashes in Ambridge seem to occur rather more frequently than elsewhere…
