Farage did not attend Wednesday’s Budget seat because he claimed someone had moved his seat reservation. He did find time however to hold yet another press conference afterwards.
He still backs Truss’s 2022 Budget although 4 years on he has discovered that she should also have cut public spending
Asked whether he preferred Healey’s budget or the disastrous one given under Liz Truss in 2022, which he previously praised but led to Truss’s demise as prime minister, Farage said he had liked the top lines of the Truss budget but “what I hadn’t understood was they didn’t cut spending”.
