For some years now a small rabble from the fascist National Front have been allowed to march to the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday, in the afternoon once the official ceremony is cleared.
Also present, at the official ceremony not the NF march, was Nigel Farage who laid a wreath for Reform.
The two wreath layings were of course not connected but the presence of fascist and far right politics at the Cenotaph is a reminder that the fight for an open and tolerant society needs to go on in each generation
